I got invited by Parker McDonald to be on the Southern Ground Podcast. I think I 'bout talked his ears off.

Listened to it on my way to my last hunt tonight. Awesome job! You must be good luck cuz I was able to kill one last doe on the ground in the middle of a thicket tonight. I guarantee that I would’ve set up way sooner and probably not seen any deer but I kept thinking about the man in the mask so I kept pushing in deeper and deeper. Saw 2 deer feeding a solid hour before sunset! Thanks for the hot tips man!

took me a few days to get through it, my commute isnt very long. Enjoyed listening to it and thanks for introducing me to another podcast.

Listen, keep hunting with your Dad, sure wish mine was still around to go hunting. I always had this plan to take him out west and elk/mule deer hunt, never made it and it haunts me to this day... don't make the same mistake.. That mask man needs to be looking for you if you dont get those bucket list things done with Dad!:imp:

I started listening on the drive home yesterday and continued on my drive this morning. I have a few questions/comments.
1. You stated you worked for a university, correct? I wanted to know in what capacity (if you don't mind sharing)
2. You mentioned that a few of the areas you hunt allow you to use bolts in Alabama. What type of land is that?
3. The host mentioned that someone recently messaged ALDCNR and confirmed that gaffs were legal on WMA land. Were you able to confirm this? I first thought they were illegal; however, after reading the regulations I would interpret it as they are not prohibited.
(cc) To erect any permanent tree stand or install any screw-in type steps, spikes, nails or otherwise damage any standing live tree
4. What kind of redneck slang is "blowed". haha!
I have enjoyed the podcast thus far. I felt you expounded on all points but the host didn't add much to the conversation.

I enjoy the southern ground podcast and he sometimes adds too much to the show. If he is interviewing a real deer killer I want to hear from him not the host. Ask the question and sit back and listen. If he wants to expound on one of his hunts, I want to hear that too but have a separate show for that
