There is a whole town about 30 minutes away from me that Is home of the white squirrel, I bet they are 200 + there

I guess you are talking about Brevard. I’m in Mills River-about 20 minutes from there. They have migrated quite a bit. I have seen at least 6 different white squirrels in my neighborhood while walking my dog.

How about that? Brevard, NC claims to be white squirrel capital. They even have an annual ‘White Squirrel Festival’. At least they did pre-Covid.

Thanks. The white one was actually my first squirrel with the Leshiy and it was on top of a mountain in PIsgah National Forest. It was a really cool moment for me. I bet there wasn’t anyone within 5 miles. I just sat there and kind of savored the moment for a while.

I heard they carry Covid-21, better wear a hazmat suit while handling them

I'm new to saddle hunting and new to the thread, I had no idea it was cool to shoot squirrels. I tagged 4 from the deer stand this year, plus a raccoon and a woodchuck. And some deer.

When I first looked at this, I thought that entire rock pile was dead squirrels...

Smashed a 3rd but he fell onto a “junk pile” which I saw him bounce off of and then somehow couldn’t find after 20-30 mins of looking. Absolutely drilled him but he must have fell in a hole or something. Anyway my only time out this year after sighting in the new scope
