Good luck man, make sure to take a picture with the deer and your saddle if you plan on being in the contest this year. I am pretty sure that's how it was ran last year. I don't think they start the contest that soon but you can submit once they get it set up. Will they still be in velvet when you go?

There's a good chance a buck will still be in velvet the first couple weeks. Velbet bucks and getting a extra month of hunting this year is what has me and a buddy motivated to try it.

If you want to come to Kentucky and need pointed in the direction of some public lands to hunt you’re welcome to hit me up. Early season is especially easy for an out of state guy. You can camp and hunt comfortably. Tons of public land in the bluegrass state. Heck if you need a place to hang out or take a shower you can always come by for a visit.
 
All these coming start dates.... Whenever u all get skunked on ur openers don't feel bad.... Probably need to get some more archery practice too.....u know deep down how that last session went regardless of what u told ur buddies
