Smart money says the winning team will have @boyne bowhunter on the roster...
All complaining about the size of deer in the South started falling on deaf ears the moment @Cajunshooter did this: https://saddlehunter.com/community/index.php?threads/2018-contest-submission-thread.8433/post-180574
You're obviously not a student of history. One win (Thanks to some awesome teammates) doesn't make a dynasty. I've had some rough seasons in the contest.Smart money says the winning team will have @boyne bowhunter on the roster...
Welcome Jeremy. There's a random drawing once the signup closes that is used to assign members to teams. Different teams every year with a wide variety of cross-section across the country.New to saddle hunter.com, I will be a paid member, but how are teams selected?
Awesome thank youWelcome Jeremy. There's a random drawing once the signup closes that is used to assign members to teams. Different teams every year with a wide variety of cross-section across the country.

I’m interested in joining this contest. What all does it entail?

Here are the contest rules from last year. https://saddlehunter.com/community/index.php?threads/2020-contest-rules.30092/
There may be a few tweaks to the rules but, they will likely be similar this coming season.
The most important thing to remember is it's all just in good fun. It's not real serious and there are no prizes beyond bragging rights.
Loosing doesn't suck, an empty freezer in June sucks.Last season I hunted 99% public with different goals. This year I'm going back to 50/50 so look out boys! I'm coming out of the gate swingin because losing sucks
Sounds like you need 2 more deer maybe 3??Loosing doesn't suck, an empty freezer in June sucks.
Go to Nantucket. Kill as many as you want and no shortage of deer. The Holmes family got 75 in a week last year... Or track in the Western mountains, given there's snow. Plenty of big bucks there...Thank god for hunting out of state because depending on Massachusetts deer to fill me freezer would be a tall task. We usually just make it to hunting season with what we have for venison. And that’s typically 4-5 deer. Sometimes 6. Also a lot of front shoulders we have made into sausages snack sticks jerky etc

It's amazing how you feel like a big boy when you stop hunting out of a diaper .................With the influx of all these treestand hunters it wont be long before we start changing the rules to allow them in the competion so long as they take a picture with their treestand and identify as a saddlehunter. @Vtbow @kyler1945
