Ohio Youth Turkey Success

My brother took a youth hunter out for his first bird yesterday afternoon. It’s a public land spot we’re pretty familiar with so we know where the birds roost. Also I had put up a cell cam a week ago and knew the birds were walking down this gas well drive on a daily basis. About 9 hens and the big Tom came through right after 7 pm. The kid shot the time at about 10 yards with a crossbow, after he knocked the Jake decoy down. It was a good introduction to turkey hunting lol.

Yes, he will. I shot a similar bird a few years back and haven’t topped it since.
