I have a old lone wolf stand I'm not sure which model it is. Now for the questions.. is there a way to find out the model? Also I do believe I'm missing a bracket or something to cam lock it to the tree but I'm not sure. It did have a home made versa button on it. Thanks I know this is a saddle hunter thread but I'm trying all forums I can think to find out about this stand.

It’s a sand stand, those were the original cast stands. They came with two J hooks for your versa strap and the seat and platform did not level.
Most guys put versa buttons on them and they were great for straigh trees.

I picked the stand up for 25.00 at a garage sale. Also am I missing a bracket or does the seat also cam lock onto the tree?

Good find

That one uses the seat teeth instead of a bracket to cam to tree

I have the same stand and put a regular seat and tree bracket on it

U can also take off the seat with teeth and use it to make a separate diy small saddle platform

did you install a batwing bracket or the v bracket on yours? i don't know, i may toss it in the shed with the other hang on stands I don't use or try it as a run and gun stand. lol

I put an adjustable newer style seat post with a normal seat and batwing

Now I can use it on a wider variety of trees that lean

I even use it as a saddle platform on some certain tree set up’s

Have had a few of them. As stated earlier- there was originally a rope where the seat pivots that went to a J Hook on the other side.

They’re light and somewhat quite. Bargain at 25$. That being said- they’re tippy. They respond to mods like domesticating a wild animal. Can spend lots of time, effort and money into making it a great, though temperamental stand. The post is smaller than modern. Some guys bastardize a new LW post and seat top on that platform for the best of both worlds.
