One shot, everyone knows the rules!

This may belong in the shame thread, but anyways.....23 yards, went right under the targets arm pit and this is what I found. The screenshot shows relative positions, shot location=green, deer=target, blood=arrow, the arrow survived and made a couple good shots afterwards, the broadhead had a rolled edge toward the rear the I believe impacted rock and deflected it back up

When they deflect or skip being shot from a compound there is no telling where they’ll go. Will you be able to salvage it? What distance was the target, like 25 yds?

23 yards to the target, the rolled edge was minimal, almost not visible after 2 shots into the target, should come out if I ever make that broadhead hunting sharp

I wanted pink feathers but couldn’t find any. I talked to several old timers that swore by them to find their arrows, but who knows? My wife is shooting my dads old Easton arrows from the 90s and they had pink feathers, but he didn’t ever kill a deer with it.

All of my arrows for my compound are fletched with bright blue and pink vanes. They are the poor man's "lighted nocks".

Are you hitting there consistently or could you tune it in toward center? If you shoot say three arrows are you grouping them at 20?
Yes, I can group arrows no problem, this particular shaft never broad head tuned perfectly and I've seen a few squirrely flights with it, but I always forget to move the broadhead to a different target practice arrow and see if it improves. All my top performing shaft & broadhead combos are waiting for me to get in the woods
