For those of you that one stick, I was curious what you use for a back up autoblock/friction hitch? I’m using 8mm rope for rappelling, any recommendations?

When tethered in for the hunt I backup up the safeguard with a sterling hollow block klemheist back into the biner but rappelling down and ascending I don’t back it up.

I have a Sterling Hollowblock that I used for an autoblock, but it wasn’t gripping very well. I’ll try it with a Klemheist.

I think the klemheist is the ticket for the sterling hollowblock on 8mm oplux. I just tried wrenching on it by hand and it wouldn’t move. I’ll try from the ground in a tree soon.

Klemheist was the only hitch that I could get to work reliably with the Hollowbloc, all others would not grab consistently.
