Anyone using the Recon for one stick climbing? I have been practicing with it. I was wondering if anyone is using a rock harnesses with it or a short bridge? Thanks

I do. No RCH. I have the holes version and use an adjustable 8mm ResTech bridge with TRC hitch. I shorten it way down for the climb, and I use the leg straps, pain that they are. Works great.

I use my ESS with a short bridge . The Recon and ESS very similar saddles. It works fine for one sticking.

If anyone is interested in the Recon Sling I am selling a Rock Climbing harness that I have found to be extremely comfortable. I bought one and ended up with second one that I have not used. It is brand new in the unopened bag. I have it listed in the for sale section of the forum. It is extremely comfortable and well padded. Rock climbing harnesses by design to absorb falls. I am including a photo of it. If interested see the listing on the "for sale forum" or contact me.

Thanks!! I was thinking about shortening my bridge. My Recon sling has the webbing bridge I'm set about 17inches. I just don't really want to change it! and the leg straps are a pain to use. Thanks again

Thanks I have a black Diamond harness just wondering if anyone was using both.

I had recon and was one sticking with it, worked fine. My only gripe was managing the “panels/webbing” with the weight of pouches (where I kept repel rope). Once it’s on at the truck or base of tree, it was fine one sticking and repelling.

No pouches for me, and no bungie belt.

I upgraded to the blue webbing belt with the little buckles.

Not exactly one sticking but I 2TC with it. One sticking and 2Tc are probably very similar. I love my Recon for 2TC. I use the regular webbing bridge set about 16 inches and use the regular blue webbing belt with buckles.
