Is anyone out there using an OOAL Camera Bracket? I purchased one a while back. Matt emailed me and ask me what camera arm I was using and what does it measure? Having him contact me and ask me these questions was greatly appreciated and showed a concern for making sure the socket in the bracket would fit my camera arm. I told him I was using a Muddy arm with a post that measured .756" in diameter.
I also asked him if the bracket came with a strap or if that had to be purchased separately. He said a 4' strap was included. I didn't think a 4 foot strap would be long enough but he assured me that he'd never been in a tree that it didn't fit.
Anyway, I get the bracket and it appears they pressed in a standard 3/4" bushing and did not ream it to fit my arm. If Matt wouldn't of asked me what my arm measured I wouldn't have been upset figuring I'm using his bracket for an arm that is not his and I'd have to modify it to fit. The fact that I have to now modify the bushing to fit my arm is disappointing.
The strap is kind of clunky but is decent quality but just as I assumed, it's too short to go around all but the smallest of trees. Anyway, I now need to replace the belt too so I'm asking, what are you guys using for a cam over strap and buckle? I'm thinking of a belt from DanO. Give me your thoughts.

I don’t have a OOAL bracket but my fourth arrow came with a ratchet strap that I quickly replaced with a cam over strap from dano. Works great! It works so well that my camera mount stayed to the tree after I released the strap lol
