OOAL Sticks

I cant image the vertical structure is solid and they would be under 2lbs a stick. So either its tubing with a cap or some type of composite? Maybe?

Looks like some rough waterjet edging on there.

Some more info ... There are mini's and full length that fold in half. The mini's are 20" and the fulls are 40". The steps and standoffs also fold or rotate. Mini's are 1.5 lbs and fulls are 2.8? As far as stacking Matt said, "I can hold six shorty sticks in the palm of my hand". It's all prototype nothing official.

Looks like the exposed bolt is needed to unscrew the step for packing. I think no less than 4 separate people messaged me about the same concept after the LWGC release last year. The advantage is that you get a double step with a lower packing profile. The downside is that it takes longer to get set up and it's going to be tough to control the tolerance slop across a large number of orders. Wing nut would be easier to use than hex nut I'd imagine but stick out more.

I'm curious how the patent discussion will go. Based on the back and forth between Beast and LWCG last year, it seemed as if multiple parties have already applied for the patenting of machined sticks.

I sold all my sticks except the Heliums and the discontinued Leverage 17" sticks.

For the money...they can't be beat. No sense in buying any other option IMO.

I haven't seen anything really innovative in a climbing stick for awhile.

The LWCG sticks are the closest to truly innovative with the side stacking. But even that is just an incremental upgrade. Not mind blowing.

The beast sticks are nice too. I like those a lot.

Any word on the length of full size and minis? I got the LWCG full size sticks this fall and talk about some false advertising...they claim 32", but they're about 29" overall and 28" step to step.

Ah yes. I updated my post ... The mini's are 20" and the fulls are 40".

That is smaller than 3/4”. Looks like 5/8 Square bar to me. Very interested.
