So I want to start doing some ground hunting in addition to my saddle to give me more options to setup when I go in. However, from October on I have to wear blaze orange (plus I hunt public land so the orange is smart even if it wasn’t required). Has anyone made/bought a ghillie or leafy suit with blaze orange in it?

I've wanted an orange leafy jacket also for bowhunting during the various doe and youth hunts that fall during bow season. I've found one company that makes one and it got bad reviews on amazon for falling apart. I'll look again and let you know what I find.

This is the brand I wish made one (I have their brown one).

Here's the one that wasn't reviewed well on amazon.

lol - I'd added the Arcturus to my "wish list" on Amazon last season. Guess the durability isn't that great.

The other one I'd had bookmarked was this one:

Thank you for this link. I’m gonna try that out for general gun season!

another of unknown quality

I like this even better. I’d only wear a jacket anyway because the leaves on pants are tore off from shifting and sitting in the saddle for hours on end. I wanna try this one and I’ll report back after season lol

It's looking pretty decent, but like you I wish you could order just jacket. Also, sizing is weird. I wear a large in about everything, so get a Large-XL?

Orange ghillie baseball cap is on my DIY to do list.

Never wore one myself but I’m wondering if a standard ghillie suit with a heavy dose of safety orange spray paint in necessary areas might do the trick? Maybe the top-down paint application over the flaps of fabric would add to the camo effect. Just thinking aloud.

You could maybe take a piece of blaze orange that is like twice as large as required by your state, cut it into strips, and sew the strips on top of the other layers (?).

You could also get a regular ghillie and use orange marking tape and tie it on it here and there so that the little 'flags' are visible. Just make sure each strip has enough of a tail to be visible. Should work well for deer but a gobbler would probably see you ten miles off.
