Ordered a Dryad Drey Yesterday!

Haha no I’m not. His videos are top notch.
I had the same concerns as you man and they immediately went out the door when I put it on. Maybe your concerns won’t, everyone has a different level of what they will tolerate. It sounds like an armadillo heard you tying your shoe laces once and you won’t get caught slipping again. Just playing with you man haha

Alright I should be working but I’m doing YouTube demos instead

I just took this comparison video of the transformer vs the drey. Even this video exaggerates both noises.

I love both of these saddles and both are deadly quiet when you are hunting

Did you try and blow on each and see which was louder? Don't blow to hard, you might get light headed.

Lol dude he is mic’d up. I am all for hearing how it sounds in the wind but you gotta understand the difference in being mic’d up. It amplifies the sounds around it lol
Makes sense. Which is why I want to hear it from a reviewer at height in the wind. The mic part never even crossed my mind.

If we got some wind I’d do it in a heart beat. I have sat in the wind with it in the past and it never made a peep. It’s way different that what a traditional hammock would sound like in the wind but as soon as I get the chance I’ll to record it in the wind I will.

Thanks.

So we actually messed around with one with a decibel meter and the material on the Drey was quieter than your average hunting pant

I don’t hunt cordura either, even though Jamie’s saddle has nothing that could flap. I appreciate the demo. I had an offer to allow me to try one out, I’m gonna try it for myself and see

Here’s a video of my fiddling around at hunting height. No noise.

Yea all I can hear in that video are cars constantly going by apparently they were mic’d up too lol
It does look comfy though

You can hear my feet shuffling around the tree so you would pick up on saddle noise too.

Anyway, this is the sort of thing you just have to see/hear in real time to get the best input so this is only another data point for folks.

Anyone else thinking the Dryad Drey would also make an awesome "ground blind" for firearm or late season? Even lighter and more compact than a normal tree saddle, keep you off the group, lots more comfortable, assumming you are near a tree.

I think it would. You would definitely want an underquilt for late season/firearm. You will compress your insulation with this saddle.

I have always used my saddles for ground set ups as well. If I can’t find the right tree for hunting elevated I hang behind a tree from the ground and it’s awesome. Deer or turkey hunting. It’s especially nice with gun with the tree in front of you to use for stability. The Drey is going to work great for this as well.
