Got mine in with the straps yesterday.
Set the straps all up and put one on a tree. I agree these will have some fiddle factor. Everything does in its own way.
So far they seem pretty good! A lot of thought and iterations with this version of the steps.
One nice feature I noticed, you can’t easily “spin” the step around the strap. You have to be mindful of how you’re sliding the strap into the step to align everything properly when first setting them up. Once you do; however, everything seems to stay properly oriented for deployment. So each time you set up, you’re only dealing with lateral adjustments on the tree. The steps aren’t spinning on the strap vertically and orienting upside down etc.
One con is now, instead of three or four straps, ropes, etc. You’re dealing with 8,10, or 12 etc. something I didn’t think of or consider until I was setting them up. So more pre and post hunt fiddle factor.
They obviously are lightweight and compact so you don’t have to worry about strapping sticks onto a pack or anything.
I think a set of these with a Pursuit platform would be a super compact and lightweight mobile hunting system.
