I guess this is my week 1. Man I packed it on.... I blame it on the Beer, Monster and Doritos. Losing 50 lbs is my goal. I have several herniated discs in my back and bad blood circulation. Exercising will be a slow go for me. I plan on getting on the treadmill first thing in the morning doing incline walking 4 days a week and lift weights 3 days a week. I expect the first couple of weeks to be extra miserable....lol

Week 1: 283 lbs

New week starts tomorrow fellas! So, we are on week 3 and going into week 4! Keep up the good work!

Anyone that started after week one, im just putting your initial weigh in into week one and carrying that weight into the following weeks to catch you up.

1/19/20
264lbs
I have not been diligent during this challenge. Would have thought I would have lost a couple pounds. Been gutting the interior of my parents house an the last 2 weeks of knocking plaster off the walls swinging hammers my arms traps an neck are feeling the burn. I have been really good about not drinking pop. That has helped in the past losing weight just going to have to put some more effort in to this

Keep at it brother!

A little bit of a loss for me. Working on the keto and fasting. I can tell I have lost some, just because of the way a certain pair of pants fit.

I will be weighing on Wednesdays from now on, so I can be following the rules of the weigh in.
Im looking forward to next hunting season and a thinner me.

Dan

Weighed in last Wednesday at 240. Will update Wednesday. I’m guessing it won’t be good news with the way I ate this weekend...

Im doing the same stuff, but progress slowed quite a bit. Im at 249 and holding. Gotta change something up soon.

I did not officially hop on board here, but the last couple weeks I have been only eating from 10am to 6pm. Seems to be helping, I am down 6 pounds. Gonna start to hit the gym one of these days and hopefully accelerate this. I hate being this fat! It has been a struggle my whole life. When I was young and super active into my 30s I was always in decent shape. I consider being willing to take my shirt off in public decent shape lol.
A few years ago I did 90 days of P90X and lost 50 pounds. But that I was not able to keep up with that lifestyle. Actually I celebrated completing the program with a 12 pack of bud light and a dozen wings ... obviously sadly I have not looked back! Ideally I would like to be 220-230. I will check in here from time to time for some motivation! Thanks for posting your journeys

great work guys! i just want to comment on something. bigjoe hit the nail on the head. to many people get caught up in the numbers game. i am guilty of it too. try not fixating on the number. if pants or clothes are fitting better, looser then you are on the right track. there is going to be ups and downs, plateaus. since may i'm down 60 lbs but the scale hasn't moved in awhile but i am wearing clothes that i haven't worn in almost 20 years.
we live in a time when everyone wants the quick fix but slow and steady healthy weight loss will benefit you more in the long haul.

looking forward to the outcome.....

Couldnt agree more. I came out of the gate gunho and watching the numbers obsessively. Body has been paying the price since Saturday. Apparently, there is such a thing as "to much" loss, and that drug down the immune system. Im staying with the new eating habits but slowing the workouts moving forward.

Weigh in: 309
Week 1: 299
Week 2 : still 299
Week 3 : 298
Down 1 this week 11 total
Good workouts & ok nutrition, getting dialed in on IF trying to find my way b/w that & getting after it at CrossFit. I found I definitely cannot do it w/ any intensity at the end of my fast.
