Over 250 club challenge

Tree2tree, I wouldn’t stress over the 2 pounds too much. I weigh on Monday’s for MyFitnessPal and on Wednesdays for Saddle Hunters.
MyFitnessPal results
Monday February 3. 280.5
Monday February 10. 282.3

Saddle Hunter results
Wednesday Feb. 5. 282
Wednesday Feb. 12. 279.3

I went up on one and down on the other.

If I was to go 2 weeks or more with no weight loss then I would change things up. Remember if you are lifting weights, then you could be loosing fat and gaining muscle. In th case you won’t see the scale change, but your body mass index will change.

I haven’t started any cardio yet, because of nasty weather, work, and trying to organize the man room. That last part is a work out, for sure. LOL

Here’s a tidbit of information.
1 pound of fat is 3500 calories

Decrease caloric intake by 500 calories a day for one week Loose 1 pound of body fat.

I am not trying to single you out or pick on anyone, but please do not buy into this line of thinking for successful weight maintenance. Yes lifting will increase your muscle mass. No. It will not impact your weight or BMI much if at all in a month or so unless you are on extreme dosages of medical "supplements". Only young men, guys on gear, or truly gifted genetic freaks can put on 10 lbs of muscle in a year with very hard work.

Spend time in the gym or on the roads (whatever you can maintain and enjoy), but remember this - YOU CANNOT OUTRUN A BAD DIET!

I have spent most of my life (48 years) fat, heavy, morbidly obese, whatever you want to call it. Until I controlled what I was eating, no level of physical activity really changed my weight. I wanted to believe it would, but I can promise it didn't.

Keep up the good work!

Down 3 more ponds this week, I’m gonna have to put a new hole belt to keep my pants up.

I have already had to do that. Started out on the fourth hole in my belt and then had got to the sixth and then had to punch a new hole. About to have to put a second new hole in it

Well im am over 10% weight lost now. Started at 202.4 and now at 180.4

239 according to the hotel gym scale. Was a bit worried about maintaining the diet on the road but it can be done. I'm used to stopping by Dunkin Donuts every morning when traveling. I've been able to fight that off! Gym time suffers a bit.

Great job on the progress and self control
That is the hardest hurdle to overcome
