Today was a good day. Got the details nailed down with @JCLINE84 for my new Orion saddle.
For those that don’t know this is the new pleated saddle from overwatch outdoors. Here’s the link.
I know there’s a few guys on here that already have one including @valerio024. I realize you probably haven’t gotten a lot of time in it but would like to hear your initial thoughts.

I just received one myself. It really hits all the right spots and solves a number of issues I’ve experienced with pleated saddles in the past. Namely, the pleat is only open you want to be. I don’t want to be in the knocking others business, but so far having tried the other pleated options I can’t accomplish the same thing with them. I am a big fan of the Transformer was built in terms of the webbing, buckles, linesman’s loops, etc. and this new one has all those same strengths.

Of course like everything I’ve gotten from Overwatch the fit and finish are perfect. I also got a new transformer (in a custom color) and plan to do a full review of both on here soon. So far it’s pretty clear to me you can’t go wrong with either model.

I also have a transformer and used it all season. I really thought I was done buying saddles because the transformer is super comfortable and built like a tank that will last forever. As soon as I saw the YouTube vid I new I was going to have to try one.

I love how if you want anything custom.. he listens and it works well. I don’t get along with buckle belts and wanted a rope belt on transformer. Works great too!

Question for the guys that have them.
What are your thought on the bridge?
By that I mean the majority if not all saddles that don’t use d rings like the transformer and ess use some sort of system to be able to adjust the position of the bridge on the loops.

All 3 brands of saddles I’ve owned have lacked that. I like to keep things simple though and least fiddle factor. So it’s never bothered me. I’m sure someone who has used a bridge like that will chime in!
