Since @JCLINE84 is fairly active on the site I wanted to create a thread in the Vendor section where we would be free to ask him questions specifically about the launch of his website and new saddle. I know I could have just PMd him but I’m hoping I’m not the only one with some of these questions.

First off I guess I would like to know when we will know more? If there isn’t a big launch planned then I would like to know more details about when the saddles will be available? Are you making them all yourself? Are you making a number of them before you open them up for sales or will they be made to order? Lead time?

Thanks and big congrats on getting this endeavor started!

I didn't read enough but it was there clear as day on the website. Pretty neat concept. He makes them each week and sells what he makes.

Yes join the email list and I will send an email the day before I add inventory with an estimate on the amount for sale and the time I will add them to the website. If I can get it to work that way. And of course Instagram and Facebook once those are done.

Just to cover all the questions about availability, I can make like 1.5 saddles a day when I’m in the zone but I take my time to make sure they’re as perfect as I can make them. There is a ton of time that goes into each saddle. The molle alone takes about an hour. So it won’t be a big operation. Right now I have 6 saddles cut and ready to assemble so that will probably be it for this week. Each week will probably be similar. I will add the inventory of what I make that week every Sunday afternoon and try to find a way to give everyone a heads up exactly what time that will be. More than likely the email list will be the best option. The social media accounts will get a heads up right before inventory is added. The d rings are another issue. I use a couple different rings depending on what I can find because they’re actually hard to get. But they’re all very similar, name brand, and rated. There are two different kinds of fusion d rings and the cobra d rings are an option I’m looking into. I appreciate all the kind words from guys that have used things that I’ve made in the past and I’m really proud that they all praise the quality. That’s the most important thing to me. I’m not trying to get rich making these things. Just want to make a living doing something I enjoy. I’m sure the transformer will continue to transform over time, if you run into an issue or have an idea to improve the design I’m all ears. It’s not criticism and I don’t get offended by it. Constructive criticism is how you make things better.

I bought a swaider and knaider from you when they first came out. The quality on them were awesome. So there is no doubt in my mind that your saddle will be the same quality. Good luck but the way you pay attention to detail and quality I don't think you'll need it.

Couple general questions on the saddle. How much does it weigh? And are you able to fit it with a webbing bridge if so desired? Thanks

I’ve been wondering about the guys that bought the first knaiders and swaiders and how they’re holding up. I’ve often thought I should offer them an exchange for a new one. I’m sure my sewing has gotten much better lol

If you would like a different bridge you can message me after an order and I can take care of that. If it’s something I don’t have on hand I’m sure I can get it. I just weighed it. First time I’ve done that because I’m not a big weight person. It’s right at two pounds

Thanks, not bad on the weight. I have an Recon now and it’s about 1.5 or so but I’ve added a Cobra Buckle and other mods to assist in the things your addressing in your build.

The only "problem" mine has is the plastic/rubberized coating on the hook that sits in front of your knee to go over the step cracked off of the bottom. Only actual issue with it would be metal on metal contact but I never found it to be a concern. The sewing has had 0 issues.

@JCLINE84,

Are there any options that do away with the metal D-style rings at the bridge attachment points in lieu of something less clanky?
I can make one without the d rings but you lose a little bit of the natural adjustability that comes from the suspension being able to shift through the d rings naturally.

Yes that was to be expected. I wish there was a way to keep the rubber on the hook. I taped my steps with a thing layer of tape to help with that but it’s a band aid option.
