Yes they do work. Try it with a dirty pair of socks in a tote. You’ll be amazed.
I use this one:

Look around and you can find them for $40. Watch camofire.com and you’ll see them pop up in there for a little over $30. Best bang for the buck for ozone units that I know of right now.

I use the scent slammer shown above. Works as advertised.

But be VERY aware and cautious of what it does to elastic and rubber. Overdose it with ozone and you can easily destroy garments and gear with elastic or rubber content.
Socks, suspenders on overalls, cinch cords on jackets....etc

This is true. The throw and go only puts out about 20 mg/hr ozone (or wherever the measurements is) as far as I understand, which is not a whole lot but is enough to kill bacteria causing odors. Still though should be careful how much you run it on those materials.

That ozone generator would be perfect if it had an auto shut off timer to avoid overdose.

I’ve actually gone through the trouble of putting it in a container with some shock cord to test the effects of a high dose for 30min.

The results were very eye opening. It does not take a lot to ruin elastic.

Interesting. I’ll have to try that and see what it does.

Yes they work. That's what dealerships use to get smells out of cars. I have a radial 400, ran it twice in an old truck I bought that smelled like years of construction, farm use and despair. Cleaned it right up. Didn't smell perfect but way better. I also run it in our suburban after we take the dog to the beach. Can't even tell she's been in there.

I was looking at this hme on camofire

May snag one next time around

I have one of these, works awesome for de-stanking rooms and cars.

I used it for gear too, i'll run it in a big cooler for a few minutes, turn it off and let it "soak" for a bit.

Ozone can devour your gear though so be careful. Plus its nasty stuff to breathe in.

I almost bought one of these before. I’m sure they work great but I think you should be careful. That one puts out 6000mg where the ones branded for hunting clothes etc. put out like 20mg. Much higher concentration with the industrial units. Ozone can wreck your lungs too so definitely don’t sit around and breathe it in.

All VERY good points. I got mine mainly for room and car deodorizing. Do NOT let it run in the room with you or any other animals in it.

For gear deodorizing I will let it run for maybe a minute in my 100 QT cooler then shut it off. It doesn't take much.

Just got one of these as a gift, it says it does 20 mg/hour, but no guidance on time. I don’t believe much in scent control, but figured what the heck, run this in my bin on the drive to the woods. If i let it run 15 minutes, is that too long?

Don’t put one in your deep freeze for a half hour in a closed garage and then open the freezer quickly while sticking your face in it and breathing in.

My only advice.
