We make a lot of jerky and give some of them to a list of folks who can't hunt.Tell me you eating them!! I’d be a happy man off the hearts and livers alone!
That's one reason us as hunters need to do a better job of taking does instead of just hunting for bucks in high deer density areas. The farmers will push for other methods if we can't handle it. Immunocontraceptive vaccines are going to take our place if we don't. Then, they won't need hunting, and we won't have many to hunt either. For Any Haters Out There! I remember quite a few years ago I was invited by a friend of a friend to join him for a rut hunt on his property in southern Illinois. The host didn't live there either as it was his parent's property that had passed to him. He leased the land to a local farmer to grow crops on the tillable portion. We were camping there in an area shielded from the wind by hay bales. In the evenings we'd sit around the campfire and enjoy a couple of adult beverages. Often we were joined by the farmer and his brother who owned the local auto collision repair shop. For Any Haters Out There!
