Pacseat mods: Putting the 'pack' in Pacseat, & other things

What do you guys use for a bow holder? I keep mine on my lap but I think it is too much movement when things happen quick. There are a ton of options. What do you guys like the best?

Funny story...

My hunting mentor uses a folding chair from time to time (just got him into saddle hunting so he's pretty stoked about that) and the other day he took his chair into the woods with him. Sitting there he sees a doe come trotting by (the area we hunt is real restrictive on does this year) and he says to himself, surely a buck is trailing that thing. Sure enough a few seconds later, a buck comes flying in from behind her. The buck goes by so quickly my mentor didn't get a shot off so he got out of his chair and began running up ahead to get in front of them. After putting up a good chase he realized wasn't going to be able to get in front of them. He also realized he had run away from his chair and didn't know where it was. Took him a bit, but he was finally able to find it.

Since hearing this account, I put a wrap of reflective tape around the top bar (seat back) of my pacseat. Got too much invested in that thing to accidentally lose it somewhere.

Edit: reflective wrap shown in the second picture of post #118

Those ground cover stakes are the bees knees. So simple.

I'll post up some pics and videos of some "mods" I've done to mine soon.

Loving my seat more and more every year. In the last 3 days I've logged 25 miles with the seat on my back. Shot at 2 deer. Hit one and packed it 2 miles back to the truck. Easiest way I've ever done it

It makes it REALLY hard to want to climb a tree.

Yep. I find air functions better than any cushion-like product though. Ischial bursitis kills any activities involving sitting very quickly for me. This inflatable pack pillow has been my seat cushion on many a motorcycle ride. A little air lifting me off my bones makes all the difference after and hour or so.
Just ordered your cushion. I feel lied to...

It was $15. Not 9. :(

;)
