Paracord over webbing gear tether

I wonder if it gets caught on your bow when lifting it off the hook. Or i cans see it potentially getting caught and making noise one way or the other

I have a hero clip as well that I use for my bow. I've found that so long as my pack is heavier than my bow/what ever else is attached to the gear tether, I don't really get any movement from it. I don't use a cam jam but I can see how it could be helpful.

if the pack is heavier, you can put the pack on the line that comes through the loop, and connect the bow to another loop. The key is simply hook the heavier item on the first loop through the tag end and position your loop accordingly...

How is it hanging your bow off of it?

I use a separate rope with prussik for the bow holder. The gear hanger is below my tether. I just girth hitch my calls, milk weed, range finder(attached to prussik), and quiver(gear tied to Paracord).

@T.Clarke can you send a link to video u made abou for guys thought give them a good idea how it was setup best way I found

I’ll post a video when I get back home from vacation.
I use a piece of 550 with loops every 8 inches or so with a camjam on one end, wrap it around the tree and clip the nearest loop to the camjam then pull it tight. Hang your bag or whatever you want on the tag end on your weak side and your bow/gun on a hero clip on your strong side.

You can also use a series of prusik loops around the main line, I switched to this after trying the alpine butterfly setup. The prusiks give you infinite adjustment. I use a figure 9 to tighten.

I have been trying to decide whether to get the Tethrd HYS strap or DIY one. I have been playing with paracord and then got the idea to use prusiks as the attachment point for accessories and bow instead of knots. I just built this exact gear hanger and was going to post thinking I had created something new only to find out I was late to the party. That's generally how it works at Saddle Hunter. If you think you've done something new, you probably haven't.

You still on vacation or what? haha, did I miss the video posting? I do something similar but girth hitch around tree with prussic on tag end that I hang my pack on. I can then use backpack as a pillow. Thought about hanging a pad from the backpack and ditch the knee pads.
