Permanent Predator noise fix

Has anyone tried this with a brass bushing? Seems like durability could be an issue with the nylon as there has to be a tremendous amount of force on the bolt when camming...has anyone who has used the nylon had to change it out- maybe the nylon is tougher than it seems...
Rick
Should brass and aluminium be in contact with each other? I know that certain metals are not compatible but I am not sure about these.

I'm in the market for a platform and had it down to the Predator/XL, Ridge Runner and the Trophyline Mission.
Looks like the Pred might be out. I don't want to spend the money on a platform then have to fix a problem. I will try the Pred before I make up my mind 100%
I'm not sure it's all Predators, I have a gen 2 and it's never made a sound. I hunted in some cold weather.

I have a Gen2 and it was perfect til one hunt this yr in February

Temps were in the high 80s and I was setting up on a bedded buck

I heard a single ping as set up and then it started popping if I shifted my weight

Had to hunt from top of my helium stick

Disassembled that night and put on bow string wax and it alleviated the problem for now

Thing is it was perfectly quiet until that one hunt on a known bedded buck

I’d atleast wax it up before the season if I were u

Yeah Tom- I don't know about the compatibility of brass and aluminum but it's good to hear that the nylon is holding up- looks like nylon will be the way to go

And I guess there is a 3rd type of metal in the mix...steel bolt.
I texted a question about this to a journeyman machinist I know...I will let you know what he says when I hear back from him.

My machinist buddy says a bushing made of brass, bronze, or copper would need to be pressed in or it will oxidize the aluminum...if the bushing spins or is loose. I guess a tight fit would be okay??
He suggested to use what we are already doing...nylon bushing.
