Persistence pays off

Thanks to everyone on here for encouraging me to keep at it after the season I’ve had. Wasn’t from a saddle, but I managed to connect with a decent cull buck this evening. Came out pushing two does, and managed to make the shot. I ranged it later and it was 220 yards, longest shot I’ve ever taken on a deer

Even after I shot he had to make it hard. Never found a drop of blood, and ran into the thickest stuff I’ve ever been through in my life. Even the blood dogs had trouble getting through it. Luckily he was only 40 yards in there
