Hey guys! I recently bought a Phantom saddle to do some testing on it with a few products I make and sell. Some of my customers have said that the molle webbing on the Phantom is super tight. When I received the Phantom I surprised how tight the molle webbing really was. I thought it was just going to be snug and I could adjust my designs just a little bit to fit the Phantom's molle webbing better I'm assuming that all the Phantoms have this same issue. Is this on the Tethrd team's radar to correct/revise?

I’d say it was designed that way. I like it for putting sys hauler and permanent stuff on. But when putting carabiners on kinda sucks.

Im not a Company rep but I doubt they think it’s something needing revision. In fact it’s probably listed as a feature. Ultra tight and light molle webbing guaranteed to...you get the point.

After using Molle for the past 20 years in the Army, the tighter the better for fastening pouches and gear. Think about walking in and having a stuffed Sys Hauler bouncing on your hip the whole way, or it sagging and swaying as you are working the tree. Clipping a carabiner isn't the primary purpose of the Molle, so it boils down to expectation management.

I appreciate your perspective! Yeah it makes sense if that’s your expectation for sure. I just didn’t see it marketed as that, so I so curious if it was a miss on their part. But it for sure could’ve been something they put some thought and time into.

Might be the reason some have two rows of molle. To accommodate carabiners and/or pouches.

You can buy webbing retainers from @DanO @ doublesteps.com for this purpose, or I made some paracord loops with a spring-plunger cord button. These work well for clipping carabiners to or for managing the tag end of your adjustable bridge.
