The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. I had a friend I used to do construction work with and we used to sit in his garage and smoke, him cigarettes and me a pipe. I mostly smoked cherry or mesquite pipe tobacco. When I started scuba diving, I gave up the pipe. He smoked several packs a day and he died of a stroke about 6 years ago. I never smoked again. I never saw much use in it anyway. Still don't. I smoked maybe a dozen cigarettes in my life.
@Red Beard instead of pipes, cigars and holders, you probably could have bought those risers limbs you were after??

Pretty sure I have the same pipe. Haven’t smoked it in many years. How’s your tobacco packing job? Not sure that I ever really mastered that.

If you enjoy cigars, check out the privada cigar club. It will change 'ya for sure. They've got
some amazing stuff in there. Some of their worse cigars are better then any of the "cigar of
the year" winners the big magazines & sponsored people say.
As far as the club, if you want to join....just sign up for the email notification for a email when
they come available. He's been doing pretty good at expanding. As soon as you get a "in stock"
email, jump on it asap. They don't last long. Word of advice if you do it, buy 2 memberships
& don't skip on the farm rolled stuff. They're amazing. If you ever see a LCA section in your cigar
shops, it's their harder to find stuff & guaranteed to be good. So, if you see LCA stuff, grab as
much as you can. They don't last long either.

Thursday's packing seemed to be better than last night. Think I also like the Lane 1-Q from Thursday better than the PS3 Cherry. Learning experience!

How long did it take you to quit smoking? I ask because I'm a smoker and not only do I want to quit, I NEED TO. You see I'm 45 years old but I have Emphysema and I cough really bad for about an hour every morning when I wake up. My wife is worried to death about my health. we both have covid now I can say it's taking its toll on me. Plus I dont want to have a coughing spell when I'm walking into the woods to hunt. I havent smoked for a few days bt today my chest didnt hurt so what did I do/ Yep fired up a smoke while having my coffee. It's my normal routine every morning.See... thank you for that! I think you're exactly right. Moderation. 9 years ago I ended 13 years of smoking 1.75 packs of cigarettes a day. I was a slave to them. Took me a LOOOOOONG time and a great deal of prayer to put that down.
Like I said though, this is a once a month thing. It's centered around dudes getting together and talking through life.

We should make a separate quitting smoking thread.
It took awhile. The patch helped with cravings but I had to keep my mind/mouth engaged also with a lot of gum and toothpicks.
If you are liking the Lane and PS, Check out some Captain Black, Half and Half, or Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic. But if you want the good-good, check out Boswell and Son (Boswellpipes.com) their pipes and blends are amazing

Half and half and captain black are nice as far as aromatics are concerned. Peterson puts out a holiday blend every year that’s really nice. I have some 2015 somewhere.

Got my first batch of the Farm Rolled cigar subscription. Smoked one tonight and it was really complex. Lots of different flavor notes as I made my way through it. Thanks for the recommendation. A buddy of mine is turning 40 tomorrow and I'm going to get him a subscription as well.

Yeah man... The farm rolled is one of the best deals going. I was getting the regular membership at first then added the farm rolled later. So glad I did. I really didn't understand at first what it was. You get $10-20 dollar cigars for half the price.
Like I said I'd recommend getting on the notification list for the regular membership. Every so often he opens it back up to accommodate newer members & adjust inventory. I'm in for 2 memberships of each. That way I got one to try right away & one to share or save.
Also you can sign up now for something called the Brian's box. It's going to be the owners favorites. I think I read it should open around October - November.
Privada hands done has the best cigars around. That & the memberships come with the stories behind them & notes to really help educate along the way. Everything you get from them is already preaged Amazing stuff.
Good choice with the farm rolls!

Another heads up...if you like cigars from the little island, Montefortuna, cigars is legit.
Comes with habanos verification barcode's & 100% real. I do think there are other counties
producing better with higher quality & way more consistent, but there is something barnyard
delicious about 'em.
But anyway, there is some really good sticks in there & they're packed with bovedas &
sealed like a scarface package. Come's out of Switzerland & mine usually take about 2-3
weeks to arrive. No doubt's about 'em from experience.
