Ok this comes up frequently enough to give it a thread for reference. I’m not affiliated in anyway just sold a lot of stuff on the classifieds over the years & saved a bunch of money.

Thanks for starting this thread. Have heard about Pirate Ship for awhile, just have not used it yet.

How does the shipping costs through Pirate Ship compare to the shipping options on eBay for sellers? (Asking because eBay offers discounted carrier rates when buying labels on eBay.)

I was made aware of this by another member on here. Never heard of it before that. It’s the best thing since sliced bread.

I can’t compare to eBay discount rates but it’s at least 50-60 percent off retail if you walk into the ups store or which makes it plenty cheaper than USPS

Pirate ship does beat eBay sometimes so I’ll usually check both. A lot of times it’s about the same.

Man I just did this about a month ago, was a significant savings, for me definitely more than 50%, I think more than 60%.
 
Really like to know how you buy from over-seas and shipping is pennies Vs IF you have to pay for a return.

I need to look at this Pirate Ship thing...But unsure I sell enough stuff.
 
As a guy who online sells ALOT ! This is the way and buying your own shipping bags in bulk
 
Cool thing also with pirate ship is u can schedule pickups
 
I use it just for 1 or 2 packages. It’s the exact same as if you just bought a single shipping label for whatever. It’s a free service other than buying the postage. I’m honestly surprised someone somewhere hasn’t tried to shut them down yet.
 
Hmm I found the exact opposite. If I bring a package to USPS, it's maybe 8-12 bucks. I go to UPS and they always want 20$+. That tends to happen when you pay a route driver 51$ an hour

Just wanted to bump this for anyone not aware of ‍☠️ ship. I needed to mail a package. I checked on postage at the local post office, $28 and change. I declined and walked back outside to my truck, pulled out the ole smart phone and created a ‍☠️ ship account. The cost was $11 and change through them. So needless to say it took me a little while but I’m onboard with the pirate ship now.
 
Bumping this because PS is one of the greatest things I've ever discovered.

I had to send 2 crossbows back to 10pt and normally just shipping 1 back ran around 60 bucks.

I used tons of bubble wrap and managed to fit both of them in a box 38x17x11. And it weighed 22 pounds.

Shipping with PS was 26$. Website is magic.
