I love mine, it's a 1 stick set up but is so easy in most treesI spoke with the guys at Eastern Woods Outdoors. I thought about trying the UP Platform on top of one of their sticks. Any thoughts?

The main question is why? I hunt off of a trophyline mission and can shoot any direction off that platform.I am just in the planning stage of trying saddle hunting so I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I am 270'ish but working on lightening my load, so-to-speak. I am considering a Predator XL platform with a Bullman Platform ROS (3-steps) on a separate strap, with this strap going around the lower portion of the Predator XL stick, just above the foot-piece, and around the tree. Thus, having a secondary strap around the base of the platform. Thoughts?
Saddle hunting is great! (Really any kind of hunting is awesome!) Finding the right setup? Not so great! It's a complete personal experience/preference. What one man loves the other will hate. You have to buy and resale a lot to find the sugar.I am just in the planning stage of trying saddle hunting so I haven't pulled the trigger yet. IMHO, short answer is yes! I use an OCB on my strap and it’s super tight! I’m sure my platform will hold a 300# hunter! All of my stuff would hold up without breaking a sweat! A ratchet strap is also an option for a tight set, but there are a lot of them. I’d prefer a strap over a rope, even amsteel cordage and that’s why I like an OCB or ratchet.. Make sure any platform you use can tilt or has a tilted front edge ……a must, but they all should tilt, for leaning.I never tried a platform. Used old steel strap on but hated the cables it was heavy but solid. Does the larger platform feel as good? Can bigger guys stand and take that backward shot? I use Wei Stepps, but I can't take that shot. I have to spin around the tree,
I like redundancy but I think this is overkill. Strap it the way it’s designed but beef up the attachment cord or strap if you want more security. That said, put that strap on there if you feel better with it on, than not. Why not?I am just in the planning stage of trying saddle hunting so I haven't pulled the trigger yet.
