I’m looking for input from others. I have a trophy line mission and latitude profile. The mission is tough to pack but I’m not traveling far since I hunt private 99%of the time. I’m 5’10” and size 10 boot. The mission definitely feels bigger and more stable but love being able to throw the profile in a pack and run. Is there anyone favoring small vs large? Would the profile XL be a better option since it packs down but has more real estate. Disclaimer, I have not hunted with the profile only played with it in the backyard, so may be just fine with the profile…

An overwhelming number of packs won’t even fit a regular Profile inside. You might check the dimensions of the XL to see if it will fit inside your pack. Otherwise, folding flat isn’t a major factor.

Small vs Large platform is preference. Some big folks like small platforms and some little people prefer big platforms. You can mock platforms up with plywood or whatever and see what you think at different sizes.

Do you have a way to attach your mission to the outside of your pack, that will make it easier to carry the mission. I am of the opinion once you are in the tree bigger is better. Run them both this year and see what works for you. I think you may find times when you prefer one and other situations where you prefer the other. If you want to only keep one then wait until after the season then keep the one you like, otherwise you could end up in the buy it/sell it/buy it back again club.

I have a Mission and a Mini Seeker. Total opposite ends of the platform spectrum.. I usually go with the Seeker simply because of the weight factor, that Mission is heavy in comparison. I do like all the room it provides though. I also love the angled front of the Seeker too, it really helps with foot pain. I'd like to pick up a regular Seeker as well to have something in the middle so to speak.

Ive messed around in the backyard with them and like the angled front of the profile, it also just seems more refined as far as build. The mission definitely bites harder into the tree but I’ve used it the past year and was comfortable with it. Profile definitely packs better, I’ll definitely start the season off with the profile and with the above idea not to sell either too soon until a few sits.

I had three, an EDP, Seeker, and a Mission. I too really like the angled front of the Seeker, and the size of the Mission, but the Seeker and EDP were close in size so I kept the Seeker sold the EDP. Once the big boots come out for the cold weather I will use the Mission.
