Where are you guys buying platforms for those of you who have built your own???
Awesome job!!Made this one by hand using Hack Saw,Files and hand Drill.Material is 6061 Aluminum 5X5X12 3/8 thick and step was also hand made.This one was made too fit a 1.250 sq Stick the stand offs were special made by Eastern woods outdoor.
It works fine. Someone asked about this a few months ago so I made a video.Ok is your standoff 2 hawk steps? How does it work? Very curious!

this ones new to me love itI’ve made two different styles. One cam over that was made from the seat portion of an XOP hang on. And the second was a klemz style and it was the seat section from an old Lonewolf hang on. The newer lone wolf and all XOP seats require the cam over design because they do not have the teeth on the back to bite into the tree. I got the xop seat off my stand when I upgraded to a mesh comfort seat but I think you can buy lone wolf seats from their website. I lucked into the old style lone wolf seat from someone on AT. Cam over below

Save yourself the hassle and skip paint and stealth strip...no matter how well u prep and paint it's gonna come off with useHow are you guys painting the raw 6061 aluminum? Self etching primer and then color topcoat?
