I had to look that hitch up, I thought at first it was a Petroacan. I tried turning the hitches I know around 180 degrees awhile back and found the Gripper’s to work very good. The Gripper is at least 20 years old, I never tried it much.
This is how I quieted the fig 8, the small horn started fuzzing up the rope when I tried it for adding friction.

The stiffer the better, C-IV is fairly stiff, Skylotec in an 8mm, and Pelican Ropes 9.5mm Static Master are very stiff. Milking the slack out stiffens up most ropes also.

So b#2 or c#1 would work for the tethers then? Or the c-iv from group a
