Well my #1 Target buck still seems to be alive as of mid January. This bugger has duped me for two years now. Some other nice buck coming up too. D2d.JPG

I'll say theres some up and comers. Nice bucks! Where are you located again? Exactly?
It is interesting to see that some bucks are hanging out together already in January.

Haha! I've got some nice video of all these bucks the one I call Double-Double has bifurcated G2's and bifurcated main beam ends or G4's I think he's going to be a really nice shooter this year if he makes it through this long cold spell we've been having. No more pics of him on these three cameras since mid January..... but I've found no sheds yet either. Just been in the teens and low to mid 20's for two weeks now after a lot of snowfall that thawed then froze and so its crusty too so they have to dig. Luckily there's a lot of browse.

That one I call "Lefty" because of his stronger left side actually has a hobbled rear left leg right at the "knee" I've got video of him walking too.... looks like he'll be coyote bait unfortunately soon with this deep snow and extended cold. My buddy who also has cameras out has pics of a buck (we can't tell for sure if its Lefty or not as it was moving its head) but there's a coyote following right behind it.

I should break down and buy a cell camera. Although I couldn't have done anything about it in this instance as our season was over mid December, I have pics of Double-Double three days in a row at almost the exact same time heading back to bedding. With a cell camera I would have had that pattern instantaneously over the course of those three days and could have hunted him the fourth day if the wind was right. But, I didn't get any more pics of him after those three days in a row using that trail going back to bed so who knows.

Yeah, this winter is rough on the deer here in central NY. The good thing is we had a bumper crop of red oak acorns, and the deer are still digging for those.
