The top of the strap is threaded through the pouch and then through the tri-glides. The bottom is girth hitched through the pouch. Start with the bottom then thread the top. No sew.Skyjacker .......do you happen to have photos of how the shoulder straps attach to the pouch?
Thank you in advance
It's hard for me to grab it straight out of the pack, I am only 5'9 and have short arms lol, you'll notice Ernie grabs the strap at the top of the pack first and pulls the pack up towards his head, then grabs the platform, that's how I do it as well. When I put it away, I have the pack off my back and put it away and then put the pack back on. I found it hard to put the platform back in the pack with the pack still on my back, it's doable but not as easy as getting it out. Almost dropped the platform a few times trying to stuff it back in when can't see the pack.I know thread is a bit old but question for the OP and anyone who runs a similar setup... do you climb the tree with the predator in the bag like that? When it’s time to hang the platform is it easy to reach into the pack and grab it, and then slide it back in when your done for the day? There’s a THP with the Tethrd guys where they kinda do what I’m talking about if I’m not making sense here. Check out minute 5:23.
I thought the same so looked for a cheaper pack and there really isn't much available. The hydration pack used is near the predator packs physical size and has lots of storage. I'm using a belt pouch off my kifaru for extra things like binos and misc. With the molles you can make up whatever fits your needs. Dump pouches are cheapWhy a hydration pack?

How did you attach the cord/braid around the bag to fit those sticks in snug on the side??This is how mini sticks pack with the predator pack. Man this might be the most compact setup I've put together with 4 sticks. Weighs in at 12 lbs.

i bought this cheaper pack off amazon last spring. Used it all last year for early and late season. My requirements for a pack was for it to be smaller but still fit my predator platform inside and to have buckle webbing straps to hold my sticks on the outside (I didn’t want to have to worry about using bungee cords. I wrap the male end of the buckle straps around the backside over or through my sticks and clip them into the other sides female buckle. This hold my sticks in place.

I was worried about it being a cheaper backpack but honestly it’s held up great. Zero issues with it. Best $33 I ever spent!
I don’t have mine anymore so I can’t say with 100% certainty but I don’t think so. It was close but they weren’t the exact same dimensionsThis may be a stupid question, and I’m reviving an old one, but given the pics on this thread, the Spanker looks to be the same size as the predator pack…so…does the predator fit into the Spanker pack large zippered pocket?
