Predator Platform broke on me last night

Gen 2's now breaking.
People have been giving LWCG hell (me included) for their delay in the putting out the ambush platform, but as someone that has used the old Assassin for years, there was never any doubt in the durability of that platform (toe hooked the hell out of it many times). Everything in life has trade offs...

I am not 100% sure I've read where it was specified it was Gen1 or Gen2. I also think maybe some pics first before jumping on the wagon would help.

There is, post #298. Says gen 2 and has pics.
I think maybe a full read is needed before disparaging the band wagon.

That was my post. If you read further down you will see me explain that it had absolutely nothing to do with being a Gen 2 since that particular design is the same on Gen 1 and Gen 2. The stand off did not change. I just wanted to report that I had a failure so people are aware. Reality is it can happen on either design.

Out of curiosity did you make any adjustments to the standoff to how it came from Tethrd?

Noted.
It appears that an across the board look at the Predator concept may be needed.

Hunting has inherent risks that we all accept, however, properly used gear with known and reproduced failures, should not have to be one of them.
Anyone too concerned with a Predator should simply stop hunting from it and contact the manufacturer regarding a refund.

FWIW, I'll be hunting from a Predator this week

I hope y'all are tethering in before stepping on your platform no matter if its a predator, homemade scooter platform or a ring of steps. I watched a youtube video of a saddle hunter that told everyone to set the platform up, stand on it, then tether in, I find that totally wrong and should be done in the opposite order. I think transferring weight from you sticks or steps to you platform is probably the most dangerous time.

But if you saw it on youtube it must be true.

You forgot the "eat a tide pod" step.
