So I am getting ready for Deerfest Aug 6-8, in Wisconsin. I have been emailing the reps at Tethrd and have been very pleased with the customer service. Will be trying out the saddles and platforms at Deerfest before I drop the money, and have to sleep on the coach. I know the XL weighs 4 vs 3 lbs. is the extra width worth it. Anyone with experience. I am new, what to be light but also want to be comfy. I am 5’10” 190 lbs. Thanks everyone in advance.

I have the predator platform and the only thing I would recommend is wrapping the center pieces on the platform where the platform and the stem come together . This is a clanky spot I used para cord and I also went ahead and wrapped the entire outside of the platform with the cord . I’ll post a pic soon so you can see what I’m talking about . By the way I’m 5’8 and 200 lbs , wearing size 10 snake boots and had no issues with the platform size .

Thanks, I was boing to order the silent straps, I like the part cord idea. Thanks.

I have both and most likely will be using the regular Predator most of the time.

I've owned both. The XL was worth the extra weight. I've since when with the Cruzr Seeker.

I haven’t used either and mine is a hawk . It works just fine and looks a lot like the one in the photo as far as shape. When I collect enough saddle hunting toys and decide to get a new platform, I’ll be wanting a wider platform as much as one that sticks out real far. I mostly lean, but I’m on the side of my platform as much as in front of it.

I owned both. They both serve a purpose. The predator is small and light. Great for long walks in. The XL is heavier but has so much more room. I personally, liked the XL and didn't mind the weight.
I have since changed to the cruzr seeker. A much better platform. The large platform and the angled edges are the perfect combination.

I have a Mission platform. Similar in size to the Xl and I can say that it’s very comfortable during the set up and break down process. Once your set up it really doesn’t matter how big or small the platform is you will mostly only use the edges. Also for shooting to your weak side / weak side behind ya is easier for me to put my back against the tree to shoot. Which is more comfortable in a bigger platform.
