Proud of my son!!!

Very nice. I would steer him towards a trade. If he’s got that in him at his age he’ll make a fine tradesmen at whatever he’s inclined to. So many people go into enormous debt for a degree that can’t make them a living. I’m a contractor and I’m here to tell you there’s plenty money to be made in the trades and I believe that it’s only going to be better in the future. People don’t want to do physical work anymore.

He loves working with his hands. I'm encouraging him to look into the trades, but right now his mind is set on becoming an engineer. Time will tell.

Well you can’t be mad with that either. Exactly where I’m steering my boys. Engineer if they can if not a trade and work for themselves.

That’s is great! You definitely have reason to be proud!!! Thanks for sharing, definitely impressive

It just awesome to see a young man doing something of this nature because most of them cannot get off their electronics long enough to talk much less something like that awesome job!!!!! You got a great kid!

Thats super cool. And he is very lucky to have an accomplished smith willing to take him under his wing and teach him. Blacksmithing is truly a artform that is getting forgotten in this day and age. That is something to really be proud of.

Very cool. Those knives look great. Building/ doing something like that, teaches you much more than you can learn in a classroom. Be proud of him and enjoy.

Wow!! That's quite an impressive knife!! Bucket list challenge now should be to take a deer with that knife while rappelling out of a tree!!

I have thought about that, but that knife is my safe queen...well until my next hog hunt. However Jennie has implied that she will take it out of the safe and hide it as soon as i book my next hog hunt.
