prusik cord and hitch for attaching bridge to saddle?

I have an Aero Hunter Kestrel Flex with the factory adjustable rope bridge. Looking to ditch the biner as I never disconnect the bridge and it just adds weight, bulk and potential noise. What suggestions do you guys have for cord material for using on the standard predator rope and hitch type to connect direct to my bridge loops?

So you want to replace the predator rope as well? Or just the adjutable hitch part? Aside from a direct connection to the bridge loop.

for the bridge connection you could use a fig8 with follow through

Maybe I’m missing something, but just remove the biner and continue using the hitch cord. Is it a sewn loop or tied? If tied, untie and retie around the bridge loop using double fisherman’s.

The prusik was the end on the carabiner? In that case, predator rope is 11mm right? So get some 8mm cord tie it around the predator as a prussik or a distel then finish by tying the tags of the cord around the bridge with double fisherman’s knots

Thanks everyone, this is what I'm leaning towards. But to answer some questions. No i do not want to replace the predator bridge rope, and yes it is 11mm. Currently the prusik end is the carabiner end and it is an eye to eye prusik with a biner ran through the eyes and then clipped to the saddle. I want to direct connect a prusik to the saddle and remove the biner. I can't use the current prusik cord as it is not long enough to tie into a continuous loop due to the length taken up by the sewn eyes on each end. I will need to get a new hank of prusik cord and tie it off myself.

Not sure where everyone’s going here with the tie and untie theory’s. Take the biener out and girth hitch the prusik. problem solved

ya but his prusik cord is an eye to eye. See earlier post.

either way I think he’s got it.

get a 5ft piece or longer and cut the surplus once you have the knots dialed in to length

I missed that part but accessory cord is cheap so he can always just wrap up a new prusik

8mm Bee Line by Yale is my preferred choice for prusik use on predator.

Cord Tensile Strength: 8,000 lb
Heat Resistant: Yes
Construction: 75% Technora/25% Polyester cover, Vectran core

Please use your own best judgment on what cordage to use though.

An anchor shackle, has a bigger pin than typical bow shackle. Can use sewn eye cord you already have.
