I’m an idiot. I was messing around with my sight on my bow and drew to check alignment. No idea what actually happened, but I ended up dry firing my bow. Scared the crap out of me.
String jumped off the bottom cam and stopped around the axel. Serving is shot where it stuck. The force of that also sheared a small piece off the cam itself. That’s the extent of the visual breaks. No idea what it’s gonna cost to fix, but it’s going to suck walking in that shop door.
Expensive lesson of the day, don’t be an idiot, never draw back a bow without an arrow nocked.
