for whitetail hunters only.im unimpressed with the current public land challenge.for guys like dan infalt or the hunting public, its like asking them to find beer in their own fridgerator.it would be cool to take guys out of their eliment to chase the coastghost in western oregon coastrange.i find a crazy zen mode when out of my comfort zone.i wouldbe willing to take the brethren out and set em loose .it would be cool to see someone hang a tag on a phantom blacktail.it took jim shockey 3 years of guided hunts to tag a benchleg in the soft grassy rolling foothills of northern calli.and his opinion of this subspecies holds water.however this coastrange is nothing like northern calli.these are pure columbian blacktails.phantom blacktails.you only hear oldtimer stories about seeing a siliwhete of a ghost materialise in the fogg just to dematerialise before your eyes.i will provide the B A M F.trophy to the brother who bags one.it would make for a good video series atleast.takers?

I remember watching a Cam Hanes video a long time ago when he went from Eastman's Hunting Journal to Bowhunter Magazine for awhile where he used Eastern Whitetail Tactics to slay a beautiful Colombian Blacktail. He scouted out an area and used a summit climber and got it done but he said it was the only tactic he could incorporate to get that large of a BT buck. It was definitely in a secluded bedding area and a lot of thicker type cover where there was some semblance of a trail convergence. Anyway, he scouted a lot for that buck before deciding on an actual spot. I don't think he's done it many times but that was my first real exposure to hunting BT's like a whitetail hunter which piqued my interest in coming out there some day to hunt them. I have relatives in Kaizer and Eugene but they are non-hunters. They are not against it just don't do it. They're hippies for sure though!!!

I'd love to see THP and Dan Infalt and the rest of them try this. Bet it would humble them.
Yup then come to Kauai and be humbled even more... try chasing blacktail in totally different habitat and out here everything is a good food source. So frustrating! Then we can all fly over to Molokai and shoot as much Axis and Blackbuck till our hearts are content and our coolers are stuffed!
