Well I found numero uno on the hit list for this year. Scouted this piece back in may and walked up on a buck in his bed that was already out to his ears and finally made it back to see if I could locate him. Didn't take long. Photos are from the video I shot on my camcorder

Man I got a case of buck fever just seeing him in July. I'm going for him opening day, already have a plan put together. Fingers crossed it works out

Beautiful animal! What is your plan / setup going to be? Interested in how you broke down the situation and came up with your plan. I have gotten better at finding good spots over the past 5 years and I have encounters during most sits but still have a ton to learn about putting the right setup together to kill the big one.

I'll post up a detailed overview once I see how it goes. I narrowed down a spot that should give me an opportunity to get him heading to the food source whether he beds in bedding area A,B or C but knowing my luck he'll be coming from D lol.

I didn’t have my video camera with me. These pics are zoomed in screenshots from 800 yds away trying like hell to video with my iPhone through my binos. The pics suck, but there’s enough there......
