Has anyone tried puffy pants for late season saddle hunting?

The Black Ovis anchor point puffy pants look interesting, but I was curious if anyone had tried a similar setup.

I have hunted in my first lite puffy pants a little bit. The few times I have I just put them on at the tree before I climb up. Worked fine for me. Your going to lose a little insulation where the saddle is compressing the loft but it would be the same if you were sitting down.

I've been using a thinned out thermaseat pad that's an inch larger than my saddle all round. I secured it with pipe cleaners and taped over the ends! Its so good and keeps yr butt warm. Way better than a SBW like the tethrd ones. and important for hunting in single digits and below!

Tomorrow I plan to wear my FL base layer then a pair of ski pants then my FL bibs. Haven't tried that yet so I'm hopeful they will work out. Should help cut the wind too.

Under armor alpine ops down pants. Warm and quiet enough to bow hunt.

I’ve been wondering about this too. I need something I can put on when I get to the tree that will insulate me enough so I can stay still for several hours.

I'm 34 inch waist, 32 inch inseam, and considering these. I usually wear large in everything and would like these big enough to go over a thin base layer and thin pants. The Kuius, large was fine, but Under Armor has a tendency toward 'athletic fit'.....basically skinny arms and legs (aka 'articulated').

What are these like? Would you suggest a large or extra large for me?

I’m not sure. I wear an extra large in most every thing minus kuiu. I always size up on my puffy jacket/pants and hard shells. My 2x is a little too. So you could honest go with your standard size and be fine
