Just traded for a tactisaddle. There is a nylon webbing strip on each side that has a small buckle on each end. It all seems pretty loose and slips easily. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to do. Can anyone help me understand it’s purpose?

I took mine off. The adjustability of the butt floss strap is enough for me to get comfortable.
 
I use my adjusters they work for me. You will like the saddle the more I use my Tactisaddle the more I like it!! I just starting using a platform with it but think I like my ROS better.
