Quietest hang on stand?

Which hang-on stands are worth money in being very well built and quiet? I realize this is a saddle sight, but some of us still need a hang-on in some scenarios. Thanks
There is no equipment made on this planet that is hunt ready. You have to find a stand that is as close to your needs as you can and then finish it. I tear my stands down, wrap edges with rope or tape or anything that'll help deaden the metallic ping, and general just make the thing mine. I think when these questions pop up, guys that are asking really just don't know what their style is yet. I have a simple style, I hate fiddle factor and will sacrifice a little weight for simplicity. Once I find gear that works with me, I'll set about making it mine, typically that means lacing on a yoga mat cut to fit the seat, heat shrink taping any metal contact points, but that's just my style and it more than likely does t work for others but that's ok.

I know what my style is and I am very aware and versed in stealth stripping everything metal. Some stands squeak and creak on the tree, others dont. I guess i didnt phrase the question specific enough. How about, “after doing the necessary silencing to a hang-on, are there any that were more quiet than others as far as going from standing to sitting and vice versa and not making the creaking or squeaking sound.”

My XOP doesn't make a sound so far.

I have a beast stand and can testify that it can be noisy. In my opinion it’s a combination of the stand off design and also that the post flexes more than other heavier stands causing movement of the stand off against the tree. I put a bat wing stand off on mine and it helped a lot. My lone wolf alpha is alot heavier but the post is much more solid and the stand is much quieter as a result.

I’m pretty happy with my LWCG 1.0. I have a lone wolf alpha and I would say they’re equally quiet. I have tape/stealth strips on both but nothing major. LWCG does a good job addressing metal to metal contact with the rubber coating on the stand as well as the sticks but I’d put more faith in the LW alpha if it were really cold and I was worried about creaking or popping. Both great stands, near equally quiet, big weight difference.

And for what it’s worth my most used option is a lone wolf hand climber and I can climb with it as quiet as I can set a hang on. Slightly off topic but point being, cast is quiet.

I agree with this post. Lone Wolf stands are the quietest I’ve ever sat in. I’m also a Lone Wolf hand climber guy 95% of the time. They are just dang quiet.

Any lone wolf custom gear stand or platform is deadly quiet as are their sticks.
beast sticks are awesome but
Ive tried a beast stand several times and maybe because im quite a big fella but the bracket made a ton of squeaking noise.

Interesting take. I've heard complaints about the bracket, but this is the first of post flex.

You think swapping for an old LW post would work/improve that?

Someone else mentioned the flex on the Beast before. I had an old Hide M Hunter treestand back in 83 that the post flexed and it was a squeaker.

Probably but I’ve learned to live with it as is for now. I probably should have gotten a lwcg stand instead but the weight and dimensions of the beast stand lured me in. The size of the platform and the height of the post is s perfect for me at 6 ft tall.

I agree, it's probably close to the perfect size for a mobile hang on.

I'd like to see them get rid of the ice fishing hole in the platform and add some thickness back to where they thinned out the end. The post doesn't appear wildly different from others; I guess the weight reduction holes could go and better geometry with a deeper bracket design that doesn't cut into the tree as much would be an upgrade. I never liked that bracket biting into the tree like it does.

I'm sold on the smaller platform hybrid method, but it'd be nice to see this stand be really excellent. It's not far off.

I thought the post flexed less on the beast stand than my custom gear posts. You sit there and can twist the seat back and forth. I didn’t experience that with the beast stand. The bracket I did experience noise with the beast stand. It was pretty annoying. Filing the crap out of it seemed to help. But I wonder if it’s more so the platform if you have the teeth flat against the tree it makes noise? Maybe angle the platform up some all the time to prevent it. I don’t know. The beast stand is the perfect dimensions IMO though.

I’m honestly not sure if it’s the post or platform flexing that’s the problem or a combination of the two. I thought I was getting more noise by shifting my weight on the seat than the platform. But that standoff paired with all the flexing definitely is a problem. To be fair all that flex is the price to be paid for the light weight. The stand is impressive and disappointing at the same time. It’s kind of disappointing the beast gear crew didn’t resolve the issue before release. I should have heeded the warnings more but I also like it.
