Quivers

Exchanged a few emails with EFA and placed an order this morning. It’ll be way nice not carrying in an old compound quiver anymore!

I think you'll like it. Did you get the wing offset bracket? In my opinion it's a must but, it's not easy to find on their website and it's cheaper if you order it with the quiver.

I’m guessing not. I ordered the Apache quiver and I don’t think I saw anything about an offset bracket. I’ll shoot them another email.

Sorry, it's the "wing setback bracket". It moves the gripper back away from the limb and keeps your arrows inside of your limbs. There is no direct link on his website, you have to google it to find it. I think it's an extra $10 if you order it with the quiver.

Just realized recently that on some aluminum riser bows, an EFA can be attached to the riser cutouts. My Hoyt now wears a 4 arrow on the riser, not the limbs. Works great. It may work on some compounds in this application as well.

My Morrison Phoenix has holes drilled for a quiver and I bolt my 3 arrow Kwikee Kwiver right to it and slide it off whenever. I used to wear the Kwikee Kwiver sometimes on my side (whether with a compound or stick) using the Sidewinder hip belt bracket made by Kwikee when ground hunting (but no more).

I now no longer consider having arrows strapped to my body a safe thing. If you start to fall when walking, remember to toss your bow and arrows to the side and don't worry about hurting the bow, worry about getting stabbed with a broadhead. This new insight makes back quivers with loose arrows look like accidents waiting to happen.

Beautiful riser. I have a 13" Morrison Phoenix in Flat Dark Earth. What is the length of that riser?

That's a photo I pulled from Morrison's site to show the tapped holes for a quiver. It's 21 inches.

My own is a 17" in matte black, earlier generation without cutouts. It wears Tradtech carbon/wood longs.

Yes. Please do! @GCTerpfan recommended it to me as well and it made a huge difference in how the arrows lay in the bow's profile. I recommend it also.

I see you already ordered, but I'll add a nod for the EFA. And their customer service is great. I have the velcro attachment version with the wing and the totem I think it's called. Just a great quiver.

Think if I had it to do again with the EFA I would have gotten the jumbo Apache. The standard is real small. On the one hand, I love it cause it's super-small and amazingly still holds four broadheads... but on the other, I'd really like to carry a blunt tip into the woods for stump shooting without sacrificing one of those broadheads.

They shipped that thing so fast I wasn’t able to get the offset bracket. Should be here on Monday though, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with it and order before the season.

Definitely wasn’t expecting it to ship within an hour of me ordering!

Just an Fyi. The small will hold 3 broadheads and a judo point, just have to rotate it correctly.

Palmer Bowmaster Elite if you want a safe side quiver. Slightly bulky but built for serious abuse. You could fall on it and it won't collapse.

Received! And I was glad to see that wearing it didn’t change my shot at all. Gonna load it up with practice heads and shoot like that from here on out.

Got my Jumbo Apache with the offset bracket in today. That thing is super solid and very compact. Looking forward to using it this next season.

It shipped out in no time.
