Just general conversation question. I think I will try to come up with a new one every week. Something non saddle related. This one I had with my brother in law last week.

What is the best chair? And why?

The kitchen table chair is an important one. But the fluffy one in the living room is perfect for the other things. But in the end I will go with a good camping chair. Portable. The one I have is pretty comfy. I could use it for the other two functions if needed. So in the sense of over all chair. That's my pick.
What's yours?

If were going for maximum utility, it’s a five gallon bucket, hands down. Cheap, sturdy, everyone has one, carries stuff, can be stood on for chores, hunted on, sat on, pooped in, Carry bait and your catch, carry your kill, tote camping gear, you name it.

plus watching painter stand on a bucket and walk it down my living room to paint the ceiling without ever stepping off it was amazing.

My favorite "chair" is the driver's seat of my 2013 Tacoma (2nd gen, 1st gen Tacoma wasn't as good). I am really lucky that the seat fits my frame perfectly. I can drive for hours and have zero fatigue or pain from sitting. I feel great after a long drive. I'd like to get one out of a junkyard and put it up on a riser and use it as a desk chair (I might actually do that).

For me that’s a tough one. Toss up between my trusty camp chair and the seat in my predator fishing kayak. Camp chair means I’m doing something fun with fun people and drinking beer, predator seat means im either floating down a river with some fun people, or catching freezer fillers on a lake by myself.

nice topic!

Preach it, brutha! I have a 2013 Tacoma and I couldn’t agree more.

For me...... it has to be the toilet. Only place a married father of two can think, my favorite place to read, part of my morning routine, I like it so much I be sure to sit on it at least once a day.
So in other words....early mornings posts to SH from u we all know u on the john dropping turds....sweet, I appreciate that

Truly my favorite "chair" is my DIY saddle. I'm a sitter in the tree and there's no place I'd rather be than with my butt slung in my saddle in a tree somewhere in the woods. It doesn't even have to be during season, I just like hanging out there watching the wildlife around me.

My favorite chair is the tailgate on my truck.... If I'm sitting on that it usually means I'm out doing something fun...I can't sit for long periods of time or my back will start stiffening up.... Lazyboy my grandma gave me is probably most comfy.

Not my favorite chair but, this reminded me of my brother-in-law who, as a joke and because no one else was bidding, bid a quarter on an old, beat up vinyl recliner at an auction years ago. He won the bid. When he got the chair home he discovered how comfortable it was and it became the center piece of his living room and affectionately became known as the "quarter chair". He sat and slept in that chair for over a decade before it finally fell apart.
