Rappel rope Bag

It is a good design and we have fine tuned it over the past few weeks. For example, putting a liner inside the bag, between the cordura and the rope makes for a much quitter rope retrieval. I like the idea of the bungee, but I hate bungee! Probably because I was my brothers rubber band target growing up. For the Drop Out Bags we are making, we prefer the cord as it lasts longer. Heres a couple of videos:

A couple more tips for you guys making one, if you don't mind some input.
1. Putting the mesh on the outside of the bag eliminates the "rim" around the bag. It catches everything! See photos. Just sew the edge down, roll the mesh over itself and sew the line agian.
2. A leg strap makes a world of difference.
3. A liner works awesome for quiting things down.

Custom Gear Modifications (CGM)

Thanks for the tips. I put some 1 inch grosgrain over my mesh/cordura seam, folded it over twds the inside and sewed that down, then added a 1 inch peice of light weight webbing over that. It helps keep the bag open and gave the molle attachments a solid anchor point.

The tethrd sys hauler will hold 40 ft of Canyon C-IV and has two outer pockets, one for your quicklink and Madrock and another to hold your dynaglide or other pull down/up line. I coil about 32 feet, fold it in half, and stick it in the bag. Last 8ft or so I make small coils that I put on top. When I walk up to the tree to one-stick up, I pull out the 8ft and leave the rest in the bag until time to repel down. Too easy to ignore.

But then I wouldn't get to throw some stitches and make my own. I have a few of the Sys Haulers. They are great bags - i even made a clone in matching camo for my saddle.

Ain’t nothing wrong slinging a few pieces of thread thru something every now and then LOL

Did you make that saddle too? Curious about that loop the 'biner is in.

Just a suggestion on the rappel rope bag. I received the v2 version. It arrived in good time and is of great quality. The bag itself is however, just a little too tight for 9mm Sterling HTP. I know this bag was not made with this type of rope in mind. It would be cool to have one wider to accommodate the stiffer HTP without having to shove and cram. I also noticed that the mesh outside pouch is too tight to fit knotted fig 8 loop, safeguard/biner/triangle without a struggle at least. Like everything, I will practice and do some real life hunting use before I go another direction. Just thought I would share some feedback. All in all, great stuff over there!!!

Send that bad boy back and let us expand it for you. We have done a few like that. We know its not a one size fits all for sure. We take it apart and add a 2" strip in the back seam to open things up. That will also free up pocket space without the rope pressing the back.

First, sorry Jhunter13. I was confused at who was who on here making all this cool, quality stuff. If it is best to move my post else where, no problem. @always89y, that would be cool but I dont want to be a PITA to you/your business.
