I see. I like the look of that design though, and truth be told, they don't look narrow at all to me. Glad they are working for you. I would not hesitate to give them a shot

How big (about) is that tree you have it on?

I'm only going to use the crows nest top paired with a small ROS. 2 maybe 3 step.i have predators platform but I don't think I'll needed. Maybe for long or all day sits.
Did you get the XOP steps? I was wondering how good they are. On another thread you were talking about getting them. I just received my RDA one stick and was looking for 3 steps to go with it. Thanks

Yep, they just came in yesterday. It's been a busy weekend for me, so I didn't get a chance to put them on tree yet. Hoping to do it sometime this week though. All I've done is unbox them and took a good look at them. First impressions were that they seemed solid and they fold really compact, and are light, which is what I was looking for. My TreeHopper steps were nice but a bit bulky. The strap that comes with the XOP steps is heavy so I'm not going to use it. I will use my strap from EWO with the OCB, it's much lighter. I'll let you once I get them on tree how solid and how much side pressure they take. Right now I feel they will pair nicely with my 1stick
Congrats on the your new one stick. What set up did you go with? I've done a couple of practice climbs with mine, and so far I'm really digging it.

Thanks!! let me know what you think of them! I have the crows nest on top and look out on bottom with 3 step aider. So far really like it I'm new at one stick climbing my self. I had a beast stick with bat platform's and I sold it. Didn't really like it The RDA is a lot better just need 3 steps to go with it. Thanks Again

Awesome! You have the the exact same setup as me. I'll keep you posted.

I decided to order 3 squirrel steps W/OCB from EWO. If I ordered the XOP steps I would need to order a strap/OCB any way.
That's great bro, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. EWO has some great products. The only reason I went with XOP was because they are lite weight and they fold so they won't take up much room in my dump pouch. Let me know how you like those squirrel steps.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on the RDA, since he is Local to me, and seems like a nice stick. I’ll probably go with 15”, 2 step aider at 16” spacing, crows nest on top, lookout on bottom, pair it with 3 or 4 bull man ROS. I’m also considering due to the rave reviews, to go with the RDA XOP one stick, which is only about 240 fully outfitted…but it is longer, and doesn’t have the little pull up thingy (i can always use a gear tie). People still hot on this stick? There’s also a the new OOAL on the classifieds for like $400 used, but this seems like it will work just as well, less $$ be new, no shipping, support a local vendor, and i can swap out the crows nest for a double step if i want to do a luxurious all day sit on the predator XL.

If it matters, I’m new to 1 sticking, but have done a reasonable amount of SRT, some 2TC, and also 3 hawks/movable 3 step aider with rappel, pretty comfy on ropes. I was trying to keep to 2TC, but there are just too many 2 ft diameter trees with no limbs in every good spot that i find when i scout. I’ve had to compromise too much looking for crotched trees for presets, or skinny trees for 2TC.

Let me know how you guys like yours now that you’ve had some time to practice….you’re all practicing, right?

Couldn't be happier with mine. Also a great company to deal with in all of my experiences. Good luck and enjoy your new one stick

I bought one in August. Double step on top, Lookout lower step, 2 step aider. He was building off a Muddy Pro tube and cleat then. I was going to just order the lower step, but it was a good deal for the full setup and I don't mind throwing a bit extra cash his way. His youtube videos (@SRT Saddle Hunter) have been helpful to me.

Loving the Lookout lower step.
I’ve got the same lower step my EWO one stick-love it!

I've got one with the same set up as what you are considering except I kept stick/steps at 15". So far I'm loving it but have only practiced a couple of times in my yard. The lower step is very nice to stand on and the stick seems to grab the tree great. I am going to swap out the cam cleat for the new one that Dano is gonna be selling though.

Are you able to elaborate on the new cam cleat at all? Or would you mind?

I saw a video of Dano at a sportsman's show and he is coming out with a new cam cleat that only has one cam. Seems to work really nicely and is a lot quieter. I wanna say it's made of aluminum. Not sure when it's gonna be available though.

Right on, thank you for the response

Bought a single xop x2 from rda to make into a one stick. I have to say I am impressed. The standoffs have excellent foot room and they bite the tree well. Now the only question is do I buy scout platform for it or do I leave the top step?
I have a mini seeker I plan to use with it but a flat scout would make a nice step to move around the tree. Decisions. DecisionsScreenshot_20230730_121025_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20230730_121002_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20230730_120949_Gallery.jpg
