Recon belt mod feedback

You should share your opinions with Mark. I tried convincing him about the bungee belt until I was blue in the face. He just wouldn't budge on the concept.
Hey, it's his product and he can do as he pleases. All I know is this will be my 4th season since I invented the bungee belt and I'm 100% positive that it's what the Recon needs. It's nice that the mod is cheap and easily changed back to webbing if someone doesn't like it.
It certainly seems that with a few tweaks he could have a home run.

He did hit a home run, but it could have been a grand slam...just change the belt Mark.
Plus flip the panels and eliminate the squeak of the webbing on the rubber coated bridge connectors. Then it's a tough product to beat. But with that said, those are all easy DIY fixes. I just wish I had tried the bungie belt sooner. I may have been able to save some money spent on other saddles. LOL

Anyone know where I can see the video of flipping the panels around? I added a bungee belt mod and made world of difference.

I have a recon its my first saddle so nothing to compare to but I do think its comfortable. Don't care for the sag when trying to wear it in, but I used some bungee cord and a cam jam and attached one end to first molle loop on right and connect to first molle on left, cinch it up and good to go. I keep reading about flipping the panels, but not sure what the advantage is....wouldn't it affect where the molle webbing is then?

First year saddle age 66 hunter, borrowed a Phantom from a friend with a Predator XL last winter after season close. Was convinced it was a good saddle but after 3 months of research I was convinced that a 2 panel system would provide more comfort. Now in the tree about 14 times I know w/o a doubt a 2 panel saddle Recon is best for me. Average time was about 5 hrs sits. I'm not afraid of heights in any way and have hunted from 12' to 30+ foot in crooked a$$ trees, trees with limbs to straight hard rock maple, oaks, etc but after the butt slippage in the Phantom I was nervous about a slide out effect so I had my Recon done different. The newer style buckles I liked but did not want them through the bridge plates so the panel straps would slide better like the look of the ESS. I also had Mark sew that belt buckle strap all the way across on the inside so the top panel would not drop. So far perfect and felt way safer but the last 2 hunts temps dropped to freezing and needed thicker clothes. It was a pain in the a$$ to adjust the rounded oval slide keepers I added. NOW I see the overall benefit of the bungee belt. I'm sure I'll go that route or delete the the slides but you do need to adjust my system for clothing thickness on the fly as temps change or you heat/cool down. I did add a different leg security design which can be removed instantly. After I get a couple real yrs in this design I'll probably switch to the bungee which is super simple. As they say just need more time in the saddle!
