Couldn't use it on the tree I was in to climb it so I threw it on my shoulder and climbed the branches then stood on it at about 15'.
Only tree available I sat in two others over two days and finally got a shot on the third sit.
But the other two sits were Cypress trees I could use it on.

That's a nice buck, and man the color on his antlers, super pretty. I can't even think about hunting till the temps drop below 50 deg. Although that being said, I guess I'd hunt em when I could hunt em. Way to come out of the gate.

It was raining in that picture and they were wet. They are a dark chocolate and won't change color. A lot of swamp bucks have dark horns.

Great buck! Sambar deer and the summer rut are going to make me come hang out with Florida man one of these days. If only those two things were in the same area of the state!

Geez 95 degree hunt, do you bring the ice into the stand with you to keep the meat from spoiling. Congrats on a awesome buck.
