I've got an OLD singer. Like cast iron old. I have a crappy old motor on it now that tends to slip. I'll try and post pics/model today when I get off work. But I was wondering if anyone has actually fitted a newer (or new) servo motor to an older machine like this. I'd imagine the sprocket much be changed in order to accommodate the newer belt.

Experience to speak to?

Here is my video channel. There should be some ideas there. This is all custom and depends on what machine and table you have.

You could probably use a stepper motor instead (cheaper) but most are 12V or 24V.
Weren't the older sewing machines 120V ?
